The cry of an abandoned child amongst smoldering embers. Hairs ripped from the scalp of an innocent man locked eternally in a windowless, lightless cell. Entire lives lived in servitude with hopes of a revolution that will never come.

The balance of life is suffering.

Is it not more just, more empathic, moral to wipe the slate clean?
