Personality
Left his tribe. He didn’t care for the physical aspects of the power structure within the tribe and he could learn more elsewhere.
Bugbears are typically brutish, aggressive, and cunning creatures. While still conforming to many aspects of his bugbear nature, Los’s personality is a mix of tradition and his own identity which he mentions in moments of reflection as his superiority over his race.
- Brutality: Bugbears are known for their violent and aggressive nature. They enjoy combat and are often cruel.
- Cunning: Despite their brutish appearance, bugbears are quite cunning. They are skilled in ambush tactics and prefer to strike from the shadows, using their stealth to gain an advantage over their enemies. Los’s cunning however extended far beyond ground tactics.
- Laziness: Bugbears have a reputation for being lazy when not engaged in battle or on a hunt. They prefer to bully weaker creatures into doing work for them rather than exerting themselves. Los uses his undead on servants and would never put himself in harms way if he could just have someone, or something, else be in the way.
- Selfishness: Bugbears are typically self-serving and have little regard for others, even those of their own kind. They prioritize their own needs and desires above all else.
- Fear and Respect: Bugbears often respect strength and power, both in themselves and in others. They tend to follow leaders who can demonstrate their superiority through might or cunning. Los wouldn’t have killed Lorzen out of respect for his power.
- Superstitious: Like many goblinoids, bugbears can be quite superstitious and often have a fear of magic and the unknown. They might believe in omens, curses, and other supernatural phenomena. Los does not have this aversion and instead embraced magic as a source of power which could be mightier than the largest warband of goblin tribes if properly studied.
29 Years Old: Joins the Shadow Army
His unique talents and knowledge/language of goblinoids set him up for an easy rise through the ranks.
42 Years Old: The Shadows
Los is selected for the Attack on Shaa Thalas but dies in the mission. He is resurrected 3000 years later due to the fall.
After Death in Shaa Thalas Absolutely detested dying. His body begins rotting during their travels. Rotting Guts - Lack of appitite - Stomach aches - Bathroom issues - Throwing up rotting chunks Rotting flesh - Rashes - Dandruff - Open sores - Hair falling out - Massive discoloration - Skin slothing off Rotting muscles - Cramps - Loosing mass - Loss use of limbs temporarily Finding maggots under their skin Los is terrified at first. He wants The Vigor for himself, to stop the decay and grant immortality. Eventually feels the power of the ebony blade as it becomes his phylactery; having been a key item in his life at the moment. He’s unaware of why the ebony blade feels so important to him.
Is slowly becoming a Lich, but without knowing about lichdome The phylactery is the Ebony Blade If he dies, he respawns next to the blade
Death In his journeys with The Shadows, Los’ body finally gives out after advanced rot. But he respawns next to a sleeping Tellani, who is safeguarding the Ebony Blade.
After Death Full on litch. Litchdom is unknown in the world and Los himself doesn’t fully understand at first. With his new immortality, only seeks to use the Vigor to extract the Darkest of Shadows from the blade and then secure the blade so his life is assured. Thinks Tellani may be too powerful to take it from her by open force. Decides to stick with The Shadows only until the Darkest of Shadows is re-incarnated, then he will defect with the blade. If the vigor is destroyed, The Darkest has no way to re-incarnate. His phylactery (the blade with her in it) will be forever poisoned and their fate entwined.
